Holiday at the Zugspitze in Bavaria
The Zugspitze Mountain is part of the Wetterstein mountain range and a border mountain between Germany and Austria. It is also the main summit of the Zugspitz
mountain range, encompassing the mountaintops grouped around the Zugspitze (Schneefernerkopf, Wetterspitzen) as well as the Gatterl (2023 m).
The Zugspitz Plateau is home to Germany’s highest and only glacial ski resort.
At almost 3000 meters, the Zugspitze is
Germany’s tallest mountain.
It offers an unforgettable experience for nature lovers, skiers and hikers.
The summit station offers a space to rest in the summit lounge or the panorama room. There is also an exhibition with films, photos and interesting exhibits surrounding the Zugspitze. 300 meters below the summit is the Zugspitz glacier, which is easily accessed by cabin lift. On the glacier itself you will find the SonnAlpin glacier restaurant with its sun terrace, lounge chairs and a glacier bar.
